Omega 3: The Key to Better Health

You may be aware of the importance of Omega 3 fatty acids and familiar with the associated benefits such as healthy immune, brain and heart function, but did you know that the majority of us are severely deficient in Omega 3?

Because I suffer from an autoimmune disease, I know all too well that Omega 3 deficiency can do. Out of necessity, I’ve been mindful about my level of Omega 3 intake for most of my adult life. I thought I was doing enough and eating well by adding Omega 3 rich foods to my smoothies and drinking the dreadful Cod liver oil. However, I had too much Omega 6 and couldn’t raise my Omega 3 levels with diet alone.

As it turns out Omega 6 is everywhere - in sunflower, safflower, and corn oils, in short, in many processed foods. Now, I consider my diet to be a clean , but when I started to look at the ingredients of “healthy” packaged food I was consuming, I was suprised by how much sunflower and safflower I was consuming!

In short, Americans are getting too much Omega 6 and not enough Omega 3. We are way out of Balance.

Omega 3 can be found in plant-based foods including veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds, beans, and whole grains, more specifically, flaxseeds, walnuts, chia seeds, hemp seeds, edamame, sardines, and navy beans. The most Omega 3 rich foods come from fish and algae. The fact is, it’s just not that easy to eat your way out of an Omega 3 deficiency.

Why we need Omega 3

  • Reduces systemic inflammation related to autoimmune diseases such as heart disease, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, fibromyalgia, Crohn’s disease, and serious skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis

  • Reduces risk of stroke and heart disease as it lowers triglycerides, a type of fat in your blood, it lowers your blood pressure, and reduces risk of heart failure

  • Reduces risk of Alzheimer’s and age-related mental decline

  • Improves bone health and reduces risk of osteoporosis

  • Improves skin related issues such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, and premature aging

  • Decreases depression, anxiety, and mood swings

After four months, you’ll receive a second test, so you can track your progress and see the increase in your Omega 3 levels.

Pretty cool, right?

See the Results

This simple home test delivers accurate before and after picture of your Omega 6 to Omega 3 ratio. The test instructions are clear and concise, with a simple prick of the finger and trip to the postoffice, you’ll be on your way to better health.

Balance is the Key

Scientists recommend a 3:1 ratio

3 (Omega 6): 1 (Omega 3)

Nearly 1 million tests show that 83% that do not take Omega 3 suppliments have a ratio of 25:1

The average ratio for those currently on standard fish oil supplements is 16:1. (still too high!!)

As a massage therapist, it’s no surprise that many of my clients may find this product helpful for their health related issues, which is why I’ve become an affiliate for the company, Zinzino, based out of Norway.

Zinzino delivers a science backed formula, high quality natural ingredients, recommended dosage by bodyweight, and test-based solution that empower us to take control of our own health.

I am more than happy to walk you through the available options and help you place your order. Please email me to schedule a meeting.
